The 2020 compound bows that comprise the Xpedition Archery line-up continues the tradition of well-made, purpose driven bows that are notable for their consistent high speed across the line.

The Mako X bow has been given a shake-up and now take the form of two bows: the MX-15 and the MX-16. Versatility comes in the form of the DLX which could be either a hunting bow or a tournament bow. There is also a very powerful short framed bow in the form of the Xscape.

Xpedition MX-15

The MX-15 is one of the 2020 versions of the Mako X compound bow. In this case the bow has a 5 inch brace height in a bid for some series top end speed.

The Mako X series was developed with precision forging and a caged riser designed to be incredibly stable while reducing shot noise and vibration. It features a new limb pocket system that maintains perfect alignment through the entire power stroke of the bow.

The bow is powered by the new Hybrid Duel Stop (HDS) cam. The HDS cam allows shooters to choose between limb stop, cable stop or a combination of both.

This advancement will let archers fine-tune to their exact shooting style.

Xpedition MX-16

The MX-16 is the other Mako X compound bow that has been introduced in 2020. The bow has been built with a somewhat more forgiving brace height of 6 inches. This gives it an IBO rating of 348-352 fps.

The bow uses the Hybrid Duel Stop cam system and has a draw length range of 26” to 31” – slightly longer than that of the MX-15.

Xpedition DLX

The DLX compound bow (Denali LX) is a more versatile compound bow that has been designed to be used either as a hunting bow or a tournament bow with high performances achievable in either field.

It uses a new caged riser design which makes it possible to get a high degree of balance and stability. The DLX utilizes an enhanced limb pocket system to create consistency that archers demand in the field and on the line.

The bow measures 34 inches from axle to axle and has a draw length range of 26.5” to 31.5”.

Xpedition Xscape

The Xscape has a 30” axle to axle design which is a mix of the Xplorer and the Mako X bow designs. It uses a 6” brace height and pushes the speed limits of the compact bow category, with IBO speeds reaching 350 FPS.

The bow features the all new limb pocket system that provides incredible stability and rigidity that translates into consistency.

The Xscape is powered by the Hybrid Duel Stop (HDS) cam. The cam is efficient, easy to tune and is adjustable. The ability to fine-tune the limb stops, cable stops, or both, sets this cam in a category of its own.

Xpedition Mountaineer X

The Mountaineer X compound bow is the value for money bow in the range that also delivers high quality performance. The bow was first introduced in 2019 and it has been returned for the 2020 season as a great mid-priced hunting bow.

The bow is powered by an all new rotating mod XS-V cam which allows the bow to reach IBO speeds of 340 fps. The draw length range of the bow is 26.5” to 30.5”.

It is notable for the smooth draw cycle and very easy to shoot. It has a longer brace height measuring 7” and has been designed to offer the new shooter outstanding performance.

Xpedition Thresher X

The Thresher X is a new bow for the 2020 season. The bow is ideal for any archer that wants a high-efficiency, short axle to axle bow.

The bow is designed primarily as a bow to fit a teen or woman shooter. However it also meets the high performance needs of any archer that feels comfortable shooting a 30 inch axle to axle bow.

The Thresher X is an apex predator achieving IBO speeds of up to 330 fps at only 28” draw length and 60 pounds draw weight.

The riser finishes for the bow are Realtree Timber, Molten Black, Tactical Sand and Ops Green while the limb finish is only available as Molten Black.

Xpedition Perfexion XL

The Perfexion XL is a target bow that sports the PXT hybrid cam, designed by the most prolific cam designer in modern history, Kevin Strother.

The PXT dual limb stop hybrid cam has 6” of draw length adjustment on one base cam with 1/2” modular draw adjustment.

The Perfexion XL is fast enough for 3D with an 8”+ brace height. The bow has a smooth draw that target archers require at the range. The Perfexion XL’s rigid riser defies flex and recovers with consistency.
