The 2021 season has seen another set of high quality compound bows introduced to the market.

The range is led by the new EVO series that use Evolve Cam System in the engine room with new features built in.

Added to the range are a selection of bows in the Nock On range. These bows, the Embark, Carbon Air Mach 1 and the EVO bows, are inspired by Nock On Nation’s John Dudley with some interesting technologies developed specifically for the line.

At the other end of the spectrum is a new youth compound bow devoted to providing the absolute beginner the best possible start to their archery career.

2021 PSE Archery Compound Bows

PSE Carbon Air Stealth Mach 1

The new Air Stealth Mach 1 returns for the 2021 season. It features a new carbon riser built longer than those of the previous seasons.

It is a highly efficient shooter that combines the power and reliability of the Evolve Cam system. This cam system ensures a smooth and comfortable draw cycle that aids in achieving greater accuracy at speed.

The limbs are laid-back and designed to maximize the power built up at the draw.

Draw length ranges from 25 to 30.5 inches and the draw weight options are 50, 60, 65 or 70 pounds. The new axle to axle length of the bow is 32 & 1/8” for a larger, more solid base from which to shoot.

The bow is available in the following finishes: Black, Kuiu Verde, Mossy Oak Country, First Lite Fusion.

Also available this season is the Nock On Carbon Air Stealth Mach 1 which differs only in the Gore Optifade Subalpine camouflage by Sitka finish.

PSE EVO EVL 32

The EVO EVL compound bows are new for the 2021 season and have a design that makes them extremely stable and dead in the hand to shoot.

Powering the bow is the Evolve Cam system with a new Precision Buss Tuning System as an added feature.

As well as equating to a great deal of power, the new system allows the bow to be precision tuned to a fine degree.

This model measures 32 inches from axle to axle with a draw length range of 25 to 30.5 inches. It is adjustable in half inch increments.

PSE EVO EVL 34 EC

The second bow in the EVO series for the 2021 season is the EVO EVL 34 indicating a longer axle to axle length of 34 inches.

While the platform is the same as the 32 in terms of the Evolve Cam System that powers the bow and design of the riser and limbs, the 34 is a larger bow. It will suit hunters looking for a more robust and stable based hunting bow.

The draw length range is 26 to 31.5 inches and the draw weights start at 60 pounds and top out at 80 pounds.

A longer brace height of 6.75 inches provides a little more forgiveness at the shot and the bow’s IBO rating is 338 fps.

The bow MSRP is $1199.00.

PSE EVO EVL 34 SE

This version of the EVO EVL 34 sports the SE Cam Rotating Mod System. You can alter the bow to shoot with either low let-off mods or high let-off mods, depending on your preferred setup.

The bow comes in draw weights of 50, 60, 65, 70 or 80 lbs and the draw weight may be adjusted from 24.5 to 30 inches.

It boasts a slightly shorter brace height of 6.625 inches to provide a reported IBO rating of 340 fps.

PSE Nock On EVO NTN 33

The Nock On EVO compound bow has been inspired and custom-designed by John Dudley of Nock On Archery.

While the bow is typical of the other EVO bows in the range it is also equipped with an array of technologies and designs that come straight from Dudley.

These features include:

  • Direct Drive Rest Cord Connector

The bow has laid-back limbs and optimized string angles to dissipate noise and vibration, making the bow the quietest in the PSE line-up.

The riser incorporates the PSE grip position to promote steadiness and balance for greater consistency.

The limbs are finished in Gore Optifade Subalpine camouflage by Sitka and the riser is matte timber green. All this is combined with Nock On green custom strings and cables.

PSE Xpedite NXT

A part of the Pro Series, the Xpedite returns for 2021 and is a bow that offers significant speed and a smooth, more balanced draw cycle.

The bow is built around a caged reflex riser to enable the balance between speed and comfort.

The Evolve Cam System (ECS) is once again the secret behind these significant speeds and when combined with the HL module you get the 352 fps speed at up to 90% let off.

There is also the alternative option of installing the FL module to really cut loose to crank it up to 360 fps.

Features of the bow include LiveWire Strings, a RollerGlide Cable Guard and Flex Rod System (FRS) to add to performance and to reduce factors such as cable friction.

The bow is available in Black, Tan, Mossy Oak Country, Kuiu Verde, Kryptek Altitude and Realtree Edge finishes.

PSE Nock On Embark

Another of the Nock On-inspired bows for the 2021 season, the Embark is built around a 6061-T6 aluminum reflex riser.

The bow features PSE’s X-Tech split limbs, pivoting limb pockets and the ZF 4-track cam system.

The significance of the reflex riser comes in the increased length of the power stroke that it causes and this translates to greater speed at similar settings.

The ZF cam system are machined from an aluminum black and feature a built in draw stop to produce an 80 per cent left-off.

A rotating inner cam enables draw length adjustment between 23.5 to 30.5 inches with half inch increments. The draw weight options are either 60 or 70 pounds. The IBO speed rating ranges from 327 to 319 fps.

Vibration and string noise are combated by the inclusion of a riser-mounted BackStop string stop as well as a stainless steel stabilizer mounting inset.

There are a couple of finish options available: Black Ops and Nock On Green.

The MSRP of the bow is $799.99.

PSE Drive NXT

The Drive remains the value performance hunting bow in the PSE range and it returns in 2021 with a features that enhance its performance.

The bow has been given a new machined aluminum riser design and paired it with the ZF Quad-track cam system. According to PSE, this gives the bow greater stability and tunability than the Drives of the past.

Grip comfort has been dealt with by adding the ComfortGrip System and the bow frame incorporates a lower stabilizer mount along with quick-disconnect sling mounts.

PSE Bandit NXT

The Bandit is the short framed bow of the Pro Series range that will suit shooters who shoot from spaces where there is limited space such as from ground blinds.

The bow is suited to all types and sizes of shooters of levels of experience. The bow, being of the smaller axle to axle length of 28 inches, does not have the same level of stability of a bow with a longer riser but it exhibits good power from a short draw.

The draw length ranges from 20.5 inches to 26 inches and the draw weight options are 40 or 50 lbs. The bow has an IBO rating of 307-299 fps.

PSE Brute NXT

The Brute returns to the PSE line-up as part of the Core Series of bows in the 2021 season.

This is a bow that has delivered a great mid-priced bow that will suit a wide range of shooting requirements over a long period of time.

PSE Stinger Max

The Stinger Max uses the tried and trusted Stinger platform and this configuration remains part of the 2021 line-up. The bow still retains all of the features that has made it one of the most popular value for money hunting bows on the market.

It has a slightly redesigned profile with shorter limbs and a larger cam system. The SS cam system means that the bow is smoother to draw and offers up to 80% let off.

It now has a 7 inch brace height while still maintaining an IBO rating of 304-312 fps. The draw length range is 21.5” to 30” and is available with peak draw weights of 55 or 70 pounds.

The Uprising remains part of the PSE line-up for the 2021 season and it is proving to be a popular bow as an entry level hunting bow.
