Now that we have been able to browse through the most recommended bipods for the Ruger 10/22 platforms we will take a look at a more detailed overview of each.

Each of these brief bipod reviews aims to provide you with extra information about the bipod that is not otherwise immediately apparent in the summary list such as special unique features. It should also help you in working out which would prove to offer you the greatest value in terms of its effectiveness.

Harris HBRMS Bipod

Harris bipods are acknowledged by all shooters who have used them as the best value for money bipods available.

The HBRMS model is an uncomplicated light weight bipod with notched extendable legs that provides a range of from 6” to 9”. The significance of the "S" in the model name is that this particular model swivels and it is this feature that makes it perfect for use on uneven terrain and saves you the trouble of having to play around with the length of the legs as you get it adjusted.

This is the shortest leg setting in the Harris range and the company refers to the style as its bench rest model.

The low profile that can be achieved through the length of the legs means it is a bipod that is suited to shooting from the prone position.

Although the bipod is light in weight, weighing only 13oz, it is still quite a heavy duty piece of equipment and will stand up to use with high-powered rifles. The legs are spring-loaded and telescoping that will adjust quickly and have manual friction grip locks.

Magpul Bipod for Picatinny Rail

The Magpul Bipods are created for a variety of mounting platforms and this particular one is for mounting on any 1913 Picatinny Rail. It is a simple matter of adding a Picatinny Rail Adapter to the rifle that would enable the bipod to mount securely.

The bipod is made to be durable and strong using combination of materials that include Mil Spec 6061 T-6 aluminum, stainless steel and polymer. These materials combine a significant amount of strength while also keeping the unit light weight. In fact the bipod only weighs 11 ounces.

When not in use the bipod can be folded down under the barrel and its profile only measures 2.3” deep and 3.3” wide. Both the light weight and small profile when folded makes it an ideal bipod for someone who is going to be covering a lot of ground.

The legs are spring tensioned and are designed to be deployed with one hand. They extend up to 4 inches from 6.3” to 10.3”. As it extends the leg will slide and lock securely at the push of a button and there are seven places that are a half-inch apart into which to deploy the lock. The legs end with soft rubber feet that will hold to the surface without slipping.

The bipod has a knurled locking knob that allows it to be moved through 50 degrees of tilt and 40 degrees of pan making it an extremely adjustable option.

You can alternatively buy the model that is suitable for sling stud mounting.

GG&G XDS Bipod

The XDS bipod is a sturdy bipod that offers a lot of features that provide you with numerous tactical advantages.

The bipod is made 6061-T6 aircraft grade aluminum that has been given an anodized matte black finish and the steel components are made from 4130 steel. These components have also been given a matte black finish.

It offers 25 degrees of cant to the left and the right and it can be tension adjusted to suit the terrain. This adjustment is toolless and can be quickly achieved in the field. It also has pivoting capability.

The legs are fully adjustable with thumb not adjustments and they deploy silently. They offer extension range from 7 inches to 9.25 inches.

The bipod attaches to any MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny Rail or Weaver dovetail.

Atlas BT10 V8 Bipod

This is one of the very impressive bipods from the Atlas BT10 range that offers an enormous number of features that are ideal for hunters of all standards.

The V8 is suitable for shooters who will only be mounting onto a single rifle because this model does not come with the quick detach feature that the BT10-LW17 has.

The legs can be locked securely into 5 positions through a 180 degree arc, and they can be deployed in a 45 degree position either forward or backward. It will also deploy in a 90 degree position as well as facing front or back.

It also gives the shooter a great range of movement being able to pan to the left or right up to 30 degrees as well as up to 30 degrees of cant to compensate for uneven terrain.

The bipod mounts to any 1913 Picatinny rail using a low profile two screw clamp assembly.

The bipopd is built from 6061-T6 aluminum that is Mil-Spec Type III hard coat anodized and has heat treated stainless steel components. It is solidly built and completely dependable with a history of performance that is unmatched by other brands.

Swagger Hunter29 Bipod

This bipod has been designed specifically for use on rough terrain. It also offers a wide range of height options from 6.75 inches up to 29 inches.

The bipod is made with lockable dual springs that enable the stiffness of the platform to be adjusted to suit the conditions. It also features a nitride finish to prevent corrosion when exposed to the most adverse of weather conditions.

The height range means it is suitable for use in the prone, sitting and kneeling positions. The legs deploy quickly and quietly with a twist-adjust feature and have removable rubber feet that, when removed, reveal metal spikes that grab onto soft terrain.

The dual spring design means that there is a lot of side to side movement as well as up and down motion to assist with ranging.

A standard rifle adapter is included that allows you to attach the bipod to the forward sling swivel stud.

Sinclair International F-Class Bipod

This is a bipod that has been designed and adapted based on the input from customers over a number of years. It is built for use for varmint hunters, tactical shooters and load testing alike.

The bipod is mounted to any sling swivel stud and there is also the option of adding a sling stud adapter for use with a rail.

The legs are easily adjusted for height with the extension ranging from 5 inches to 10 inches. The legs have been laser etched to quickly lock into pre-determined heights. There is also a quick-adjust elevation knob to rapidly lock onto targets.

The bipod is constructed from 7075 T6 aluminum that offers great rigidity without adding undue weight. That being said, the bipod weighs 31 ounces.

This is a strong and extremely platform that provides the Ruger 10/22 with a great deal of unmoving stability.

UTG Tactical OP Bipod

This is the low-cost recommendation that will provide you with a good quality, solidly built bipod at a fraction of the cost of the others mentioned above. It is sometimes colloquially referred to as a Harris knock-off and provides some of the features that you will enjoy from a Harris bipod.

The Tactical OP bipod from Leapers, Inc is constructed from durable aluminum with a steel top platform providing you with a solid and sturdy support.

The legs are fully adjustable and feature a Posi-lock wheel as well as being controlled by a Quick Retraction button to make it a simple task of packing up before moving to another position. There are 3 extension notches to allow a degree of versatility in height.

This bipod comes with a quick detach lever lock that is fully adjustable. It will mount on any Picatinny and Weaver Rail and also comes with a swivel stud kit for swivel stud mounting.
