It has an illuminated reticle so that low light situations will not affect precise aiming. A CR2032 battery powers the light and this comes with the scope.

Just a quick word on the use of the word “best” when talking about the various rifles scopes examined on this page.

We have used the word best to indicate that this particular scope was highly recommended by a number of hunters who have used it for the rifle in the caliber specified.

Obviously, other scopes will be similarly effective and scopes suggested for other calibers will also be suitable too.

In the same vein, the magnification range and objective lens specified is the one chosen for medium range hunting conditions. You may be planning spot and stalk on open terrain as opposed to a hunting blind at close quarters so your needs will be different.

Pair up one of the rifle scopes suggested above with an appropriate scope base and/mount such as the ones we've examined in our list of CZ 557 scope bases.

The bottom line is that scopes are effective in a lot of different scenarios and it will be up to you to match the features of each with your own hunting needs.
