Each of these brief scope base reviews aims to provide you with extra information about the base that is not otherwise immediately apparent in the summary list such as special unique features. Browning X-Bolt 20 MOA Picatinny Rail Short Action Scope Base

This is a high-strength aluminum alloy 1913 Picatinny base that attaches to the receiver with 8 screws. In other words it uses four screws per base mounting platform.

The design of the rail fits short action X-Bolt rifles only.

Integrated into the base is a bubble level that helps you level the rifle when setting up the scope. It will also come in useful when shooting in the field.

The base, which weighs 1.6oz, provides 20 MOA making it perfect for the long-range shooter.

The base is compatible with both Weaver-style and Picatinny-style rings.

Browning X-Bolt 20 MOA Picatinny Rail Long Action Scope Base

This is the long action version of the Picatinny rail described above.

The rail has all of the features described in the short action version. This includes 20MOA making it conducive with long-range shooting and an integrated bubble level in the base.

It is machined from high strength aluminum alloy and is attached to the receiver by eight screws.

The fact that this and the short-action version is made by Browning should give you the confidence that it is designed specifically for use on the Browning X-Bolt.

This base is available to suit short action as well as long action calibers. There are also rails that will suit magnum length actions (.300 PRC, .300 RUM, & .375 H&H) as well as super short actions (.223 Rem, .22-250 Rem, .223 WSSM & .243 WSSM).

The rail weighs 4oz and it offers 20MOA to provide a mounting platform that will be suitable for all shooting applications.

Visit the Talley website for more information about these rails.

Short Action: Rear Spread – 0.7”, Front Spread – 0.7”, Center Spread – 2.94” (Overall length of rail is 6.184”)
