The Howa 1500 rifle is a popular bolt-action rifle that is also extremely versatile with most of the different models being chambered with the most common calibers on the market.

Choosing a mount and scope rings for the rifle shouldn’t be a particularly difficult task with many brands being available. However, it is important to make the distinction between mounts that are designed for a long action bolt, short action bolt and Mini models.

When looking for a mount base for the Howa it should be remembered that mounts designed for the Weatherby Vanguard will fit perfectly. The reason this is the case is because the Weatherby Vanguard is built by Howa and is basically a Howa 1500 with a different stock.

As a rough guide, a scope with an objective lens up to 42mm will fit a low mount, 44 to 50mm will fit a medium mount, above 50mm should use a high mount.

Listed below is a selection of scope mounts that will suit the Howa 1500 rifle. Where relevant we will provide information on the different action types as well as the Manufacturer’s Recommended Sale Price for each.
