The PSE Full Throttle compound bow has been released for the 2014 as one of the fastest hunting bows available rated at a blistering 370 fps. With a bow capable of speeds this fast it would be reasonable to think that it is virtually impossible to keep it under control, but the bow is smooth with a comfortable draw and accurate too.

he large PSE Full Throttle cams are part of a hybrid cam system and have been designed specifically for this bow and have been made to be particularly aggressive. They are draw-length-specific and this allows them to extract every bit of efficiency possible. The cams are made of high strength aluminum to maximize the power output.

The Full Throttle Cam is draw specific which means if you want to change the draw length you have to change the cams.

The Full Throttle pre-loaded split limbs are past parallel and are designed to help settle the shot and control the after effects of the enormous power that is generated. These X-Tech speed limbs are offered in peak draw weights of 50, 60, 65 and 70 pounds.

The draw cycle finds that you get to the peak very quickly and then there is a gradual drop in weight until the fall into the valley. This helps to smooth out the draw cycle.

The bow uses PSE's Planar Flex riser with enhanced strength and rigidity. It uses a design that is even more rigid than past bows and this improves the consistency and accuracy of the bow.

The bow is available in four different finish options of Mossy Oak Break Up Infinity Camo, Black, Black Camo and Skullworks.

The Full Throttle has been added to the PSE line up for the 2014 season as an integral part of the Main Line series of bows. Take a look at the selection of Full Throttle compound bows displayed below.

The good news is that it is still possible to find a PSE Full Throttle for sale at a very reasonable price.

What they're saying in the forums about the PSE Full Throttle

This is the best "speed" bow ever built! I got mine about a month ago and I can't believe how nice this bow is to shoot. If you shot the Omen you'll be shocked at how much nicer this bow is. Mine at 27.5 inches and 60#'s shoots a 340 Gold Tip Velocity at 305 FPS. If you have a shorter draw length and really want to get a hunting arrow to 300 FPS or faster this is the only bow that will do it. And to top it off, it feels good.

The bow is what everyone was saying..smooth and easy shooting for a 370 ibo bow. The draw is MUCH, MUCH improved over the Omen. There is a hump at the end but much less pronounced than it's predecessor without a doubt. The bow is VERY quite. It is more quiet than my Hoyt Spyder Turbo. This bow is very impressive to me in all aspects! The feel, balance and draw cycle are amazing for the what the bow does. I don't think there will be any problem getting this bow to hit 370 ibo with a little tlc.

PSE FT is an absolute beast. To me 60lb is comparable to the other 70lb speed bows in holding weight. The draw is actually pretty smooth just stiff all the way through and that's at 29". 70lb FT to me was just more than a regular 70lb shooter would want in hunting situations.
